AI Adoption Advisory, C-suite & Board
A briefing built for people who have to defend the decision later.
Boards and C-suites don't need another slide deck about what AI could theoretically do. They need a straight answer to a narrower question: is this specific initiative worth the risk, the cost, and the governance burden, and what happens if it goes wrong.
I run this as a working session, not a lecture. I come in having already looked at your proposed use case, and I brief leadership on where the real risk sits: data exposure, vendor lock-in, regulatory exposure, and what a reasonable AI policy looks like for a company your size. Because I sat on the finance side of these conversations for fifteen years, I brief in the language a board already uses to evaluate any other capital decision.
This service also covers standing quarterly AI governance reviews for boards who want an independent, non-vendor voice checking in on what's actually been deployed.
What people actually want to know before booking.
Are you selling us a specific AI vendor or platform?
No. I don't take referral fees or resell software. My job is to give the board an honest, independent read, which is hard to do if I'm also selling the tool.
Our board isn't technical. Will this go over their heads?
That's the point of using a finance background instead of a technologist. I frame AI risk the way a board already frames capital and control risk, not in engineering terms.
What does a single briefing actually produce?
A written risk and governance summary the board can keep on file, plus a plain recommendation: proceed, proceed with specific conditions, or don't yet, and why.
Can this turn into an ongoing arrangement?
Yes, some boards keep me on for quarterly governance check-ins as new AI initiatives come up. That's a retainer, and it's only offered after the first briefing, never assumed upfront.
