AI Workflow Audit
A written report and a plan, not a deck of buzzwords.
I sit with the people who actually run the process, not just the manager who owns it on paper. I trace every handoff, every approval, every spreadsheet that quietly holds the whole thing together. Then I write down where the delays, errors, and rework actually happen, in your numbers, not industry averages.
The output is a written report: what's broken, what it's costing you, and a short, ranked list of what I'd fix first and why. If AI genuinely isn't the answer for a step, the report says so. You don't pay me to find a use for AI. You pay me to find the truth about the process.
A typical audit covers one core process end to end, for example month-end close, AP, or a procurement approval chain, and takes one to two weeks depending on how many people I need to talk to.
What people actually want to know before booking.
What does an audit cost?
It's fixed-price, scoped to one process, and quoted after the Readiness Audit call once I understand what's involved. I don't publish a rate card because the right price depends on how many systems and people are in the process, not on a generic tier.
What happens after the audit is delivered?
You own the report either way. Some clients take it to their own team to build. Others ask me to build the automation myself, which moves into a Finance & Reporting Automation or Procurement & Cost-Control AI engagement.
Will this touch sensitive financial data?
Usually, yes, that's the point. I sign an NDA before I see anything, and because I trained and worked as a controller, I know what needs to stay access-restricted and what an auditor will later ask about.
Why would I use a CFO for this instead of a technologist?
A technologist can tell you what's technically possible. I can tell you what's technically possible and what will actually survive an audit, a bad month, and a skeptical board. Those are different questions, and the second one is usually the one that matters.
Bring me the process that's bothering you most.
